The Emerging Scholars committee of the Haitian Studies Association invite you to participate in our series of mentorship activities where we will reflect on key topics and issues for emerging scholars.
The Haitian Studies Association (HSA) is pleased to announce the creation of a space for discussion and exchange dedicated primarily to emerging researchers. If you have a research project in progress or have completed your first major research project within the last two years, you are invited to present your research, your proposal, or preliminary results, or the methodological, epistemological, and ethical challenges in your experience as an emerging researcher.
Members of the Haitian Studies Association receive our journal, the Journal of Haitian Studies. Current members can log in here to read the current year’s issues electronically.
You can read all current and past announcements here.
Last year the H.S.A. piloted Working Sessions, to great enthusiasm from our members. The five live webinars from three Working Sessions were well attended, and generated interest to keep this series of bottom-up interdisciplinary spaces going. This year we are excited to present the following three working groups.
The Haitian Studies Association supports scholarship on Haiti and provides a forum for the exchange and dissemination of ideas and knowledge in order to inform pedagogy, practice, and policy about Haiti in an international community.
