About the Symposium
This symposium draws upon the expertise of Haitians, members of the diaspora, policy makers and members of academia whose research focus is Haiti or countries which have successfully navigated relevant challenges.
Two goals:
- Lead dialogue through a series of moderated panels examining issues central to Haiti’s recovery and presenting ways in which these central issues could be addressed expediently.
- Draft a Project 2026 Roadmap leveraging the papers presented by panelists at the symposium for rebuilding Haiti. This roadmap would become a comprehensive, holistic plan for legislators and key leaders to use as an approach to addressing the dire situation that has unfolded in Haiti while providing a perspective of how to preserve the rich history and re-create a society that can once again prosper and reclaim its position as the pearl of the Antilles.
