The Haitian Studies Association (HSA) is pleased to announce the creation of a space for discussion and exchange dedicated primarily to emerging researchers. If you have a research project in progress or have completed your first major research project within the last two years, you are invited to present your research, your proposal, or preliminary results, or the methodological, epistemological, and ethical challenges in your experience as an emerging researcher. If you meet the following eligibility criteria, please complete the form. The Emerging Scholars committee will contact you.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a student or recent graduate (within the last two years)
- Be conducting or have conducted research on Haiti
Past Emerging Scholars Café:
- Emerging Scholars Café Event (September 9th, 2022 – Recording Available) with Dr. Felix Jean-Louis and Willie Mack, PhD candidate in History.
- Emerging Scholars Café Event (October 14th, 2022 – Recording Available) with Dr. Glodel Mezilas and Websder Corneille, degree in applied linguistics.
- Emerging Scholars Café Event (December 9th, 2022 – Recording Available) with Samantha Schifano, doctoral student at University of Buffalo.
- Emerging Scholars Café Event (April 9th, 2023 – Recording Available) with Dr. Kapriskie Seide and Pascal Dafinis Ph.D Student.
